Rare disease individuals and their families are at the heart of Chive Charities' mission to make the world 10% happier through life-changing grants. “I think you have to build an ethos within the company. In tech, we are going for the best and brightest minds. Just taking a paycheck for an 8-5 job doesn’t cut it anymore. If you are trying to get the best and the brightest and maintain, motivate and retain them, you have to show people that the company is more than just the day to day. Building a good CSR platform -becoming involved in communities, charities and things that are important, show that is more than just a job and it’s got be more of a what aligns with what people want to do with their lives.”

As one of the largest manufacturers of wheelchair-accessible van conversions, VMI takes great pride in building leading-edge mobility products that meet the needs of their customers. With a genuine care for the disabled community as their driving force, they have been constantly innovating and working to improve their products and service throughout their long history.
VMI was created in response to a need. As a pioneer in the mobility vehicle industry, VMI began when its original founders were challenged to build a better wheelchair accessible vehicle for a close family friend. Looking to find a more convenient and simple solution than the traditional mobility lift, their founders took an Oldsmobile Toronado and created easier access by dropping the floor and installing a wheelchair ramp system. This endeavor was so successful, they later applied this innovative technology to a Chrysler minivan, and officially introduced the first wheelchair-accessible minivan in 1987.
Partnering with VMI will allow us to help more recipients in need of ADA accessible vehicles in 2020. Together, we will continue to provide mobility and freedom to those who need and deserve it most. We are thrilled to launch this partnership and eager to see the impact grow in the lives of our future recipients. Welcome to the family, VMI!
