Six years ago, Raylan's story launched on our site—and thanks to your support, it continues to be one of resilience, hope, and family.
This past year brought some tough challenges. Raylan underwent spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis and faced months of complications due to nerve damage. With strength and persistence, and after nine PICU stays and countless trips to the children’s hospital—3 hours from home—Raylan is finally on the mend.
Through it all, the accessible van made possible by your donations never stopped rolling. It became a lifeline for the Callaway family, not just for medical trips, but for something just as important: adventure.
This summer, Raylan received a grant for a Josi Jogger, and now joins his family on runs—cheered on by everyone he passes. So far, his longest run is a 5K! His joy is contagious, and his love for the outdoors reminds us why we do what we do.
From hospital hallways to finish lines, Raylan’s journey is a powerful reminder of how far your generosity goes. Here’s to many more miles and milestones.
