Pearl and Scarlett took a road trip!
March 31, 2016
“Scarlett and I recently returned from a trip to Winter Haven where we were able to volunteer for the first annual Adaptive Freedom Festival. There was adaptive skiing, rock climbing, face painting, jumbo Jenga (and other smaller games made “life size” to become accessible), fishing, tubing, pontoon boat rides, and vendors. There was also a band there in the afternoon. I worked at the registration/welcome tent while Scarlett was hard at work soliciting donations, lol. The event was put on by On The Edge CF, an amazing group of people trying to bring accessible water sports to people who have never done it before, accepting all ages and disabilities.
On our off time throughout the week Scarlett swam more than I thought a dog could. She’s still recuperating! She’s never slept so much!”
