Life has become a little lighter and a lot more joyful for King and his family, thanks to the reliable van provided through the support of generous donors. According to his grandmother, April, the impact has been felt in everyday routines and once-in-a-lifetime moments alike.
"Life has been so much more easier since we've been blessed from you amazing people," she shared.
One of the biggest highlights? King celebrated his birthday in a big way this year. "For King's birthday I took him and the siblings to the NOVA trampoline park on March 13th," April wrote. Before, outings like that weren’t always possible—but now, the family can embrace these special memories together.
She also noted how the van has helped with therapy appointments, school schedules, and getting the kids what they need. “I drop King off every morning to school so his sensory overload is at a minimum before he goes to class.”
She added, “Just being able to get the kids hair cut, go to the grocery store, get his meds from across town—without calling a Uber—it’s been everything.”
And there was one more dream come true that she had to share: “OH wait the biggest one—I finally was able to go see the Indiana Pacers in Indiana. OWW! And WE WON! And I took King’s little brother so he can see real NBA players.”
None of this would have been possible without the support of our incredible donors. In April's own words: "Thank you bunches!! Sending you lots of oodles and coodles!"
Her message closed with the most heartfelt thanks: “Aye Allison, you know I like to say THANK YOU BUNCHES! NO THANKYOU all oodles and coodles!
