It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Ezera, one of our incredible Chive Charities grant recipients, passed away on January 29, 2022.

Ezera was diagnosed with adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD), a rare and devastating genetic condition that affects the brain and nervous system. But Ezera was so much more than his diagnosis. He was full of life, laughter, and love — a child whose radiant smile and resilient spirit left an unforgettable mark on everyone who followed his journey.

We were honored to be part of his story, to support his remarkable family, and to witness the strength they showed through every moment of heartbreak and hope. Ezera’s life, though far too short, was filled with courage and joy that inspired a community to rally around him.

Our hearts are with his parents and loved ones. We hold them close as we honor Ezera’s memory and the love he brought into the world.

Rest peacefully, sweet Ezera. You will never be forgotten.
