We recently got the most amazing update from Evelyn’s mom, Sarah, and we couldn’t wait to share it with all of you who helped make this journey possible.
After a long stretch of challenges, Evelyn is thriving — and her family is finally getting to enjoy some much-deserved freedom and fun.
“We finally are in a great place health-wise,” Sarah shared. “Evelyn has been seizure-free for over a year and has not had an illness hospitalization since last November!!!”
With this incredible progress, they’ve been able to get out and explore the world in ways that were once out of reach. And their Chive Charities van has been a total game-changer.
“This has allowed us to start getting out and about and exploring more and boy has our van made that 100% possible!!!!” Sarah wrote. “She has gone adapted surfing, to a family pool on a weekly basis, out to restaurants, to several zoos, to the rodeo, shopping and more!”
These might sound like everyday outings to some — but for Evelyn and her family, they’re milestones. Moments they weren’t sure they’d get to experience. And now? They’re making memories all summer long.
“Again, all of these experiences would have been very difficult or may not have happened if not for our van,” Sarah said. “We are still so thankful and blessed to have been given this gift from Chive!!!”
We're beyond happy for Evelyn and her family, and so proud of our community for helping make this kind of freedom possible.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support stories like Evelyn’s — this is the impact you’re making, one van, one adventure, and one milestone at a time.
