It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Maximuus Cabrera, a cherished member of the Chive Charities family, who left this world on May 7, 2025, at just 10 years old.

Max inspired us from the moment we met him. Born with congenital muscular dystrophy, he faced each day with strength, resilience, and the kind of bright spirit that stays with you long after the moment has passed. He was playful, funny, and full of life—an incredible little boy who brought joy to everyone lucky enough to know his story.

His parents, Gabriel and Dianely, have been part of the Chive community for years—longtime Chivers whose love and devotion to their son were nothing short of heroic. The bond they shared with Max was profound and beautiful, and it was an honor to support them on their journey.

Through the generosity of our community, we were able to provide Max and his family with a wheelchair-accessible van—giving him more freedom, more adventures, and more cherished moments with his family. That support was just one part of the deep connection the Chive Charities family felt with Max and his incredible parents.

Max’s smile lit up every photo. His joy was contagious. And while his time with us was far too short, his impact was profound. Max reminded us what it means to fight with hope, to love without limits, and to live every moment with courage and heart.

To Gabriel and Dianely—our hearts are with you. We are grieving with you, remembering Max with love, and holding your family close.
