Alaina told us lately that things have been rocky for Makayla. She endured 2 brain surgeries, (number 32 and 33!) back to back so she is still in the recovery phase. She tells us, “her perspective and optomism inspire me everyday as she refuses to be defined by a disease with no cure.”
