Bubba is about to lose his ABA therapy

February 8, 2016

Christa, Bubba’s mom, reached out to us with a very important plea:

“Bubba loses his very crucial ABA therapy on February 12, 2016 due to Oklahoma not having an Autism coverage mandate in place. Oklahoma is one of only seven states left in the United States that does not have an Autism coverage mandate in place. My husband and I are currently working with Judith Ursitti at Autism Speaks on House Bill 2962 for meaningful Autism Insurance coverage in Oklahoma. Bubba has three insurance policies, two private pay and one state funded. None of these insurance policies cover the ABA treatment that his developmental pediatrician has deemed medically necessary for him. In fact there is currently not an insurance provider in Oklahoma that covers this therapy. Bubba’s ABA therapy cash pay would be $7,000 a month for 30 hours a week of therapy.”

Defending Bubba's rights is what Chive Charities is all about. Rooting for the underdog. Championing the orphaned causes. We're behind you, Bubba.
