It's been a little over a year since we first introduced you to Andre, and so much has changed! 

His mom, Kamareia, said the grant from Chive Charities made a huge difference for their family.

"The grant from Chive Charities was incredibly helpful and allowed Andre to double up on his therapy sessions at SCI-FIT. It has really helped alleviate some financial stress on our family, especially during these challenging economic times."

With the extra support, Andre has been able to keep up with therapy and continue making progress. As Kamareia shared, "The funding has allowed Andre to continue making progress in his recovery and work toward his goals."

There has been plenty to celebrate outside of therapy, too. Andre just finished 6th grade and will be heading to middle school this fall. We're excited to see what this next chapter brings for him.

Kamareia also shared that they're looking into additional scholarships and grants to help support Andre's therapies in the future.
