One of the founders of the popular website TheCHIVE.com doesn't forget about his roots here in Northeast Indiana when it comes to giving back.
Fort Wayne native John Resig, president of Resignation Media, traveled back to the area to give a $5000 donation to the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department Saturday.
The station has been at risk of shutting down due to financial troubles in the city, and is in a budgeting shortfall of tens of thousands of dollars.
Firefighters there make about 200 calls a year from their station that has a leaking roof, drafty windows and old air tank vests.
The generous donation all started with the department's Rescue Lieutenant, Justin Pence, sending an email to the Chive Charities explaining the town's situation; that's when Resig stepped in to help...
