FOLLOW UP: Hudson Volunteer Fire Dept

It was five months ago Friday when an internationally-known website founder from Fort Wayne came to a local fire department on the brink of closure and turned it all around.

John Resig, co-owner and president, traveled back to the area in March to donate $5000 to the Hudson Volunteer Fire Department.

The station has been at risk of shutting down due to financial troubles in the city, and is in a budgeting shortfall of tens of thousands of dollars.

The station’s Rescue Lieutenant, Justin Pence, found out Resig’s organization, “Chive Charities,” was looking to help out a struggling fire department. That’s when he penned a letter to the entrepreneur....
