The 2025 Family Reunion presented by Chive Charities held on February 22 at Fast Friends Beer Company was more than just a gathering. It was a full-on celebration of what makes this community so powerful: compassion, connection, and a whole lot of heart. From the opening cheers to the final hugs, this was a weekend we won’t forget—and a reminder of why we do what we do.

How the Magic Happened
Picture this: a sunny, albeit cool for Austin, Saturday filled with more swag than you could envision, laughter, happy tears and an epic game of Family Feud.
Family Feud delivered more than just laughs, it turned a "no" into a "yes" following our Q1 applicant review. Theresa Upton downed Jeff DeLong (2nd place), Papa Chive (3rd place), Dan Oliver and Djuana for the grand prize; the chance to select one recipient from our review that we had to say no to and turn them into a yes. She selected Zoey, a beautiful 13-year-old with Rett Syndrome from Mississippi.
But beyond the fun and festivities, this reunion carried something deeper.
Honoring the Heart of Our Mission: Our Recipients
Once again, we had the immense honor of welcoming several Chive Charities recipients to the reunion—and their presence was the soul of the event.
We reminisced over the past year of impact with the highlight video. We saw firsthand the impact of accessible vans, specialized medical equipment, and support that says, “You’re not alone.” Families who once faced impossible challenges now had a stage to share their strength. And wow—did they inspire us.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd as recipients shared how your generosity changed their lives. That’s not just impact—it’s transformation.
